Lamiflex
Lamiflex Foam is available in both standard Ether and Ester grades, specially designed for thermoformability and flame lamination processes. Flame lamination involves bonding foam with fabric by passing the foam surface over an open flame. This exposure creates a thin layer of molten polymer on the foam, which, under pressure, bonds securely with the fabric to form a composite material. These composites are widely used in automotive headliners, seating, door panels, orthopedic braces, sound attenuation materials, footwear components, and more.
Our Ether grade Lamiflex foam incorporates special additives to minimize thickness loss during flame lamination and to enhance bonding strength between foam and fabric. Select Ether grade variants are also treated with Neem-Fresh™ antimicrobial technology, making them ideal for applications in jackets, helmets, gloves, cricket pads, seat covers, laptop bags, and similar products.
Additionally, Ether grade Lamiflex foam is utilized in soundproofing solutions, such as upholstered wall track systems.
The Polyester grade Lamiflex foam is formulated with flame retardants to meet FMVSS-302 fire safety standards, making it especially suited for automotive applications.
